Farrar Corporation utilizes several production facilities to deliver a diverse range of manufacturing capabilities. From innovative pattern-making solutions and ductile iron castings to CNC machining and heat treatment services, we are one of America’s leading providers of ductile iron cast parts, patterns and related manufacturing capabilities.
Pattern Shop
Some of the machining equipment highlights of our precision pattern shop include two Hurco VM-Series CNC mills and a Mori Seiki SV500 CNC mill. Our expert pattern-making and prototyping team utilize the latest releases of Solidworks, MasterCAM and MAGMASOFT engineering software in our ISO certified design process.
Foundry
Some of the technology highlights of our foundry include two 2500 KW Inductotherm Furnaces, three production lines outfitted with Robert Sinto automated horizontal molding machines, a fully outfitted core making center and a cleaning room equipped with precision CNC Barinder grinders and manual SNAG grinders.
Machine Shop
Our precision machine shop is outfitted with a range of advanced horizontal and vertical CNC mills, CNC turning machines and two 5-axis machining centers from Mori Seiki, Okuma, Haas and Hardinge. Our CNC machining center also features specialized gear shaping equipment and a horizontal hydraulic broach to tackle the unique production needs of OEMs in a range of quality-focused industries.
